Happy Birthday 30th Wesley Donehue!
I swear I’ve been in my 30′s for 10 years now.
His Birthday is not for another week, but since we are celebrating today, I thought I would put up a little post.
We’re down in the Holy City of Charleston today to help celebrate the 30th Birthday of one of my closest friends. We both hail from the area, me a West Ashley kid and Wes from the Creek.
His beautiful wife, Elizabeth, put together a wonderful surprise party down on Daniel Island, so we’ll be celebrating all night long. I swear I passed this milestone years and years ago, but for some reason he is just now entering his twilight years! Actually I hear that 30 is the new 10, which I would bet Elizabeth would agree is the age Wes acts sometimes.
Wes and I have been through more things, both good and bad, together than I can recount or do justice to here on this blog. We met about 10 years ago in the SC State Senate as college pages and have been able to watch each other grow in our careers and in life.
It ain’t been easy by any stretch of the imagination, but it sure has been fun!
I can’t wait to see what the next 10 years bring…
